How do I begin?

How long does an average job take?

An average job of 200 feet will take about 3 hours from start to finish. We carry enough materials to complete a 550 foot job in one day. We run a very experienced crew so every attention to detail is looked at.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for your arrival?

There are a few things that our crew will need in order to complete the job. We will need access to a water source (hose hook-up). You will need to have any and all subterranean objects marked. (e.g. invisible fences, low voltage wires, sprinkler systems, etc.) We also ask that the grass be trimmed short where the border is to be placed. It will be at least a week before mowers should come close to the newly installed border.

Should I be concerned with the flowers and plants in my flower beds?

NO! Since our machines are compact and light weight, we will not damage your existing flower beds or any other foliage.

Will the border crack?

All concrete products can crack. Creative Borders take every precaution to help prevent cracking. We include an 1/8″ steel cable inside the material as it is being extruded to prevent separation and add a fiber mesh product into the concrete for added strength. Then expansion joints are created every 30 inches.

How is it when mowing around it?

That is one of its many perks! You can simply run your mower right alongside your new border. You will not have to worry about knocking over concrete blocks or plastic edging that you spent hours laying.

How often should I seal my border?

You should seal your border once a year for the best curb appeal. Our sealer helps keep the color from fading, and more importantly, keeps your border strong. Creative Borders will apply commercial grade sealer to your newly installed border. We can arrange to seal your border for you on a yearly basis, if you wish. Talk to your representative about the best sealant package for you.

Does Creative Borders warranty their work?

Yes! We have a one year warranty that covers workmanship and defective materials. We will also cover any non control joint crack greater than 1/16th of an inch.
